Budget and Regulations – competence development

Budget and Regulations – competence development

The following rules apply to competence development at Regent:

  • For internal lunch seminars, speakers may report 4 hours of internal time, outside working hours.
  • For internal evening seminars, speakers may report 8 hours of internal time, outside working hours. No participant may report internal time. On the other hand, Regent offers food and other snacks.
  • Regent attends conferences regularly. Absence in connection with these conferences may not exceed 4 hours as internal time.
  • The employee can use their bonus account for skills development activities.
  • In addition to what Regents offers, an employee may take unpaid leave of absence for a maximum of 5 days per year for skills development, for example to attend courses or conferences. Of course, the employee can also use their holiday for skills development.
  • Regent is responsible for one conference ticket cost per year. The employee is responsible for the time, for example through holidays. Approved conferences that Regent is happy to host are followed in the list below. If there is a request for another relevant and cost-effective conference, just suggest this to the nearest manager, so it can be arranged.
    • Jfocus
    • Öredev
    • The web days
    • DevSum
    • Let’s test
    • Radar summit
    • Leetspeak
    • Sweat chew
  • As an alternative to conferences, Regent can instead sponsor a course every two years. In the same way as for the rules around conferences, the employee needs to take care of the time himself. The cost of the course needs to be approved by the immediate supervisor.
