Meetups

Meetups

Regent regularly arranges meetups at our own office. Subjects for these training sessions vary between sessions.

  • For meetups, speakers may report 8 hours of internal time, outside working hours.
  • Regent sponsors everyone who goes with 2 hours of internal time, outside working hours

Regent also advocates for its employees to visit external meetups regularly. To encourage this, there are directives below on what applies.

  • Through Nils Gudmundsson, Regent invites employees to 4 external meetups a year in a subject that is in line with Regent’s competence directive.
  • If you yourself see a meetup that should interest more than yourself. In such cases, send tips to nils.gudmundsson@regent.se.
  • Meetup is announced via email to everyone with instructions on how to register (meetup.com, for example)
  • Regent sponsors everyone who goes with 2 hours of internal time, outside working hours

The meetup manager needs to comply with the following directives:

  • Book a lecturer and market events. One meetup per month is the goal during holiday-free periods.
  • Budget of NOK 15,000 per event. If the cost is exceeded, approval must be given by the immediate supervisor.
  • Ensure variety. This applies to all aspects such as topics for the meetup, internal / external / male / female / Swedish / foreign / etc. lecturers.

Rules of procedure

  • As Meetups receives many external visitors to our premises, it is important that the reception of these is good. Thus, the room needs to be prepared in good time before the event begins, which means that the employees who do not intend to participate advantageously work from home after lunch or sit in the conference room so that the room can be properly prepared.
